Michael Angelo

Michael Angelo at Clown Cabaret February 2017 at the Trinidad Theatre at Logan-Fringe Arts Space

Up and coming star of the comedy scene Michael Angelo likes long walks on the beach, Shakesepearian sonnets by candlelight, and greeting insects at roach motels,

Dr. Dour and Peach

Dr. Dour (vocals, 10-string touch-guitar) and Peach (cello, banjo, cute) tell the personal stories of lovesick mummies, giant lizards, bargain-hunting zombies, and other hapless creatures of the night in a cabaret cocktail of original songs. The pair (Toby Mulford and Rachel Spicknall Mulford) is based in Washington, DC (there's good monster-watching there), and has appeared at the Capital Fringe Festival, the Clown Cabaret, and other venues.

Toby Mulford is an educator, actor, and playwright specializing in ensemble-created physical theater. He is the Artistic Director of Faction of Fools Theatre Company and the Associate Artistic Director of Traveling Players Ensemble. He holds an MFA in ensemble-based physical theater from the Dell'Arte International School of Physical Theatre. His plays have been produced at the Dell'Arte Company (California), the Brick Playhouse (Philadelphia), and the Festival of Animated Objects (Calgary, Canada).

Rachel Spicknall Mulford is an actor and teaching artist, and on staff at Faction of Fools Theatre Company here in Washington, DC. She holds a BA in Theater from the University of Maryland, and has studied at the National Theater Institute, the St. Petersburg State Theatre Arts Academy, Gardzienice, and the Center for Movement Theater.

Pamplemousse at CLown Cabaret February 2017 at the Trinidad Theatre at Logan-Fringe Arts Space

Pamplemousse, AKA Melissa Reed, is a recent addition to our Washington DC clown community. You have no idea what you're in for since neither are we. We hope to get more information soon.

Kolleen Kintz

Kolleen and Bobby Kintz stumbled into the world of clown at the Dell'Arte International School of Physical Theater in California (where Kolleen attended, and Bobby loyally supported the ensemble as resident photographer). In 2011, the duo returned to Maryland and began volunteering with Clowns Without Borders, helping spread joy and laughter through programming at inner city schools, festivals, and coordination of local fundraising. In 2012, Kolleen traveled with CWB to Indonesia, and this fall the two will make their first voyage together, to perform in Haiti!
The Kintz Family Circus, as they call themselves, works annually teaching camps where little ones can experience the magic of clown, learn skills, and create a show of their very own.
When not training at The Center for Movement Theater with Dody Disanto, these two are working on creating original and wacky pieces of theater, in and out of the red nose.

Rich Potter, Co-Producer

Rich Potter is a co-producer and frequent performer for Clown Cabaret. He's studied with Ringling Bros, Maine's Celebration Barn Theater, and Nouveau Clown Institute in Barcelona, Spain, and still hasn't attained his dream of knowing nothing.

His appearances on the David Letterman Show, at the Vice Presidential Mansion, in Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, and other domestic venues and in dozens of other countries have gotten him a laugh or two.
